Voting Guidelines Suspension-9 votes are necessary to dispense or suspend the rules in order to avoid a reading of legislation on three separate days. 3/4 of 11 = 8.25
Emergency-8 votes are necessary for the passage of emergency legislation and override of Mayor's veto. 2/3 of 11 =7.33
Passage-6 votes are required for the passage of legislation and motions during regular/ special meetings.
Quorum-6 votes are required in attendance at regular meetings for consideration of business.
During committee meetings, a motion passes with a majority of members PRESENT. |
