I grew up in Toledo, Ohio and was the daughter of a police officer and homemaker. I moved to the area in 1989 after I graduated from college and bought my first home in Lorain in 1999. I'm a block watch captain for my neighborhood and have been involved in local politics by being instrumental in collecting signatures on the referendum petitions for the plate tax and the income tax credit that threatened higher taxes on our citizens. I'm currently employed full-time and also own a web design business that I've been trying to grow.
I have a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Toledo in Communications and I graduated in 1988. I was an educator for nine years and spent most of my adult life in sales, marketing and customer service. I like a challenge and have been highly successful in any endeavor I have pursued. I have a passion for politics and have spent exhaustive hours researching history, the US Constitution and government. I will bring a conservative approach to this position.
